Summer History Lesson #5: Donatello

Donatello is a Renaissance sculptor known for prospective illusions in his sculptures. He has worked with other sculptors to create statues for the church. He worked with the church to create statues of the prophets and to create a monument. His most famous piece is the bronze David. His sculptures were the basis of perspective in the arts.

In my opinion, Donatello's art is fascinating. He use pieces of metal and creates them into lifelike sculptures that show great detail. His art shows expression and feeling. Some of his sculptures also have backgrounds and perspective that makes it seem like the art is a real place.
