The Medici Family of the Renaissance

The Medici family was a family of bankers in the city of Florence in Italy during the14th century. They were like any other family during the Renaissance. However, they became better by bribing other people, causing violence, and killing people who were in their way. An important thing they did was that they supported many great artists and thinkers like Brunelleschi, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Galileo. They were very interested in the arts and secret ideas from the Romans. It inspired many more people to be involved in the arts.

The family got popular when the Pope said that the Medici family was the most reliable bank. They earned lots of money and stayed open. The other banks went out of business. They also supported an architecture named Brunelleschi that was thought of as unorthodox. When he started building, people were amazed by his work.

In my opinion, I think they had a great impact on the society. They brought classical architecture back, inspired artists, and they helped create the Renaissance because of what they did. Without the Renaissance, our world would be not that involved in the arts, sciences
